Former Kiaw Hin Coffee Shop Kampua, Sibu

Most baby boomers (now at the age of 50 plus and above) may know, Kiaw Hin Coffee Shop brings back a lot of very fond memories.

A lot of Sibu baby boomers would swear by this kampua.

Now, taken over by original Kiaw Hin kampua seller's son, nicknamed Kay Tao, literally means Chicken Head.

Mr Chicken Head is now stationed at this coffee shop with a looong name opposite the new bus station (same shoplot as WikiTea or behind Jing Xi Lou)

I have to agree with my father, the kampua was indeed awesome.

Mee Pok (Flat kampua) near Sibu Bus Station

This is round one.

Round 2.

Dry Wanton (Pienuk) near Sibu Bus Station
The dry wanton is...by far the best I have tasted in Sibu.

The texture, the meat, the wrapping, everything was al dente.

Perfect 10.

Round 3.

Kampua near Sibu Bus Station
I reserve the best for last. :)

The original kampua noodles.

All three were very delicious.

I'd love to go back again :)

The only thing is, the road to this shoplot, is rather bad.

I rephrase, very bad.

Very bad ground settlement, do drive smartly and carefully.

If you drive compact cars, I suggest you park a bit further and walk.

There you go.

The name of the place is Tom Yam Teppanyaki Seafood.

Open for breakfast and dinner.

Lunch, no.

suituapui: definitely a must try! i think it is best to take a longer route to this place, as the direct roads were really bad. with bumps guarantee to scratch the underneath of your ride. i scratched my dad's ride. ouch.

simple person: game on! when are you coming to sibu? :)
