Alcohol and Pizza at Marini's on 57, KLCC, KL

Happy New Year :)

I hope, 2013 has been treating you good so far.

My blood pressure has been very low of late, which means, I can indulge in alcohol without guilt. ;)

After reading review on Marini's on 57 by The Yum List, I was itching to try this place out.

Marini's on 57

Marini's on 57 is located in KLCC.

Look for Chanel and Versace boutiques, and you will the Marini's on 57 sign.

Then you will walk through a short passage leading to a lift that will elevate you to the 57th floor.

Not too hard to find eh?

Right before heading to Marini's on 57, I had a round of booze at Chinoz on The Park.

Two servings of Asahi, one Corona Extra, and two gin and tonic.

And lots of shrimps and tempura prawns.

Talking about being wasted.

I love 57 sour very much.

In fact I had 2.

The white foam is shaken egg white.

View is amazing at this place.

After plentiful of shrimps and prawns at Chinoz, I could afford only one pizza.

No more space in my stomach.

I ordered, pizza margherita.

Since I have read about this place, and the chef is Italian, I have very high expectation for this pizza.

And.

It did not fail me.

In fact, it was the best pizza margherita I have tasted.

Totally approved.

By my dear tastebuds.

Now.

I shall come back to this place for a proper dinner (sans the pre-dinner booze elsewhere prior to the dinner).

10 year old Single Malt

I am a social drinker.

And I only love whisky. On the rocks please.

My fav would definitely be single malt whisky. I have tried a few: Glenmorangie, Old Pulteney, Glenfiddich until I stumbled upon this rare gem:

Single malt from Islay. La Phroaig.

And if you say, blah... only 10 years old, what is there to shout about?

And I tell you, there certainly is something to shout about. I solemnly tell you, this can beat Glenfiddich's 18 year old anytime! Smokey and smooth, the taste is out of the world.

Look at the alcohol content. If you have a few glasses of this on the rocks, I promise you that I actually look as beautiful as Miss Malaysia in no time ;)
