Shanghai Restaurant, Sibu

I have a sudden urge to go back to Sibu this weekend. I am homesick! Terribly.

Especially after a series of unfortunate events befall me some time last week.

This is a tribute post to my cozy hometown, Sibu.

The Sopranos family in Sibu love to frequent this place.

The panoramic view of Shanghai on the wall, specially flown in by the owner.

The Sopranos family, Tony Soprano at far right.

And we started off with greens. If you're no fan of this, skip to the next pic.

Stir-fried vermicelli, generous amount of bean sprouts, onions, slices of chicken and prawns.

Seaweed Shanghai style. Tangy, sweet, fishy, a medley of lovely and funky combination.

Mr Tony Soprano made sure that his daughter was well-fed before being sent off to Kuching.

Deep fried prawns coated in salted egg yolk. Daughter Soprano's fav dish.

Jelly fish in sesame + peanut oil, crunchy and superbly flavorful.

Let's take a closer look. Cucumber & jellyfish are perfect pairing. Just like Moet & Chandon with chilled strawberries.

Stewed lamb

Are you game for Sibu now? ;) Come and meet the Sopranos family in Sibu.
