Breakfast at Sri Pelita, Sibu

This place is recommended by suituapui

Finally, I set foot at this place! Not that I go back to Sibu very often per say.

My family is very impressed, thank you suituapui again.

I have been to this place several times, but have yet to blog about it.

Sri Pelita is just next block from Paramount Hotel, Sibu.

In the mornings, the coffee shop is jam - packed.

I love roti corn beef. It is such a rare find, I do really appreciate that Sri Pelita has included roti corn beef into their menu.

The other thing to look out for is mee goreng spesial (fried noodles: special). The fried chicken is out of the world. Needless to say, I still crave and dream about the fried chicken in Sri Pelita. Don't tell me about fast food fried chicken. This one champs, hands down. The fried chicken is seasoned with turmeric powder and is very succulent and crunchy.

Love.

Another thing to note that, they do serve my favorite teh halia (ginger tea) and iced Chinese tea! This is so Sibu. :)

Mee goreng spesial, Sri Pelita, Sibu

I am very particular when it comes to mee goreng.

I have tried many, but I like Pak Man's mee goreng (Sungai Merah) very much.

But. I like Sri Pelita's very very much too.

Pak Man is a very dear family friend of mine.

He passed away so suddenly this year, God bless him.

He would hang out near my father's place every morning as his missus shopped for ingredients.

Back to Sri Pelita.

The mee goreng is phenomenal.

Only available for breakfast.

Same goes with roti canai.

Now. Please leave a table empty to accommodate me and my family. :)

I love the fried vegatables - so un-Malay. All of them dunno how to fry vegetables. Never liked theirs except for masak lemak and ulam...but this one does it very well!

Ah!!!! He did not use the ring to fry your egg. The boss read my post on that - never like them doing that e.g. in hotels. The boss is very nice - very good PR.
