IpohTown Coffeeshop

Pardon me for not updating my blog for a while.

Life has not been good these days, and let's start kick start with food that soothes a tormented soul with bloodshot eyes: Ipohtown Coffee.

Reminiscing the good old times in Johore, the milk tea in Ipohtown.

Yooohoo! You know how much I miss this?

Beansprouts with steamed chicken. Nga choy kai fan in Cantonese.

I have not have this for the longest time. Ever since I left Johore Bahru.

I love the fact that plain rice is served with the steamed chicken and beansprouts. Good for people like me who is high on LDL.

The chili is no joke. Fiery aside, words cannot describe how hot and sexy this sauce is.

Going to Ipohtown is not complete, if you do not order this:

The toasts! This one here is filled with cheese and ham.

By the way, I am eligible to a 15% discount when I dine here.

Coz I am a student, and I have Matric Card.

Just in case you don't have one, you can just PM me and buy me a meal instead. ;P

360 Xpress City Centre Soft Opening, Kuching

Ooo...eat your heart out, I was at the soft opening of the latest swanky budget hotel in city, 360 Xpress City Centre, Kuching.

Let's go straight to the room, shall we?

Women and vanity. It goes hand in hand.

I too, am vain as well.

This is the dressing table in one of the rooms.

Nice bathroom, you reckon?

Woooo!!! Toto tap. Let me explain to you, this is a branded bathroom fitting, if you happen to know nuts about all these stuffs.

Soap is provided.

Complimentary bottled drinking water.

Mini bar, what's not to like?

Flat Screen TV!

Natianle, or Nationale? ;P The switch in the room.

This is the preview of RM100 room, a family room. Two double beds.

Spacious? Single room starts with RM60.

Lovely lift. My, it is so lovely you won't think that you're in a budget hotel lift!

At the coffee house, we, guests were treated to an array of yum yums to satisfy our tum tums.

Free flow of beer, and soft drinks. Ahh...notice the shisha?

Lovely lamb kebabs, what can I say? Too bad I have to watch my cholesterol.

The spacious lobby and reception area.

Last but not least, I get to know these two cuties. :) Your normal budget hotel, yes no? You have to judge it for your ownself. ;)

Hakka Yong Tau Fu

A lot of people came to ask me, if you're a Hakka, why do you speak Hokkien at home?

Thinking that I'm a wayward Hakka, I definitely prove you wrong.

I present to you, stuffed beancurd and lady's fingers, the Hakka style.

Though I don't speak Hakka as fluently as Hokkien, who says I can't prepare Hakka dish?!

This post is a tribute to my late Grandma, as today is All Souls' Day.

I've learned a lot from you in terms of culinary, sewing, and lots more.

And thank you for letting me to inherit your priceless recipe book, making me the envy of other Chungs.
