Kwong Hup Cafe @ Jalan Keretapi

I love this place not because they serve superbly good food, rather because they give 7-star service (wow, does it sound as though you are in Burj Al Arab?)

These loving people in Kwong Hup Cafe know how I want my teh c peng (milk tea) to be done. Seriously.

I love the popiah (spring roll).

And also the laksa.

I have to keep on reminding myself that this too shall pass...referring to my wisdom tooth ache, I mean. WAIYA! WHEN CAN I HAVE MY LAKSA?

5 Loaves Cafe

If a particular eatery gets reviewed more than once by me, it has to be so darn good. and yes, it really is. :)

And mind you, 5 Loaves Cafe ain't anywhere near where I stay.

I have been here several times, and I have brought along several food critiques along.

This is the signature mee mamak from 5 Loaves Cafe. Even though I am having wisdom toothache lately (yes, am getting old and wiser coz i've already passed the young and stupid stage), I just couldn't resist the mee mamak. guess i'm such a loser and always listen to my tastebuds rather than my instinct huh?

As it was only mildly spicy, thank goodness it didn't aggravate the pain caused by my wisdom tooth.

Oh, I was quite surprised there were several dishes go unlisted in the menu. Only regulars know this!

They do serve fettucine carbonara.

This little foos reviewer of mine, Foofee is a big fan of 5LC's Fettucine Carbonara. Two days in a row, fetuccine carbonara @ this cafe, must be fantabulous!

Zac and his club sandwiches. Also two days in a row! club sandwiches @ 5LC.

And I also have to try it for my ownself. This is my second time I surrender to my tastebud. After I had the fries, my wisdom tooth do hurt a bit. But the fries seduction is way to strong.

Are you game for 5 Loaves Cafe now?

Best Char Koay Teow in Kuching

Before I go and about to remove my wisdom tooth(s) or teeth rather, let me do a quick review of sumptuous food in Kuching.

I have always been very fond of char koay teow, especially when I could get my hands on REAL GOOD one, back in JB.

But the sad thing is, I wasn't able to find a good one back in my hometown, Sibu.

And here I present to you, the best one in Kuching, by far. At Tabuan Jaya.

Go find this place now! I shall not tell you, just in case you swarm my char koay teow place and I've got no place to sit whenever I pay Madam Char Koay Teow a visit.

My Shoe Fetish

For your information, besides having a passion for food, I too, love shoes very much. This is my recent buy from Charles & Keith. Marie, if you are reading this, please please please forgive me. I am not intentionally trying to tempt you. It's just that, the weather is very hot in Kuching, I have to resort to thong sandals instead!

Dinner Buffet at Four Points by Sheraton Kuching

Love to hate me, I have been spending two consecutive weekends eating out at Four Points by Sheraton Kuching.

This is the interior of The Eatery.

Even the salt and pepper shakers look awesome.

This is my first plate. At the far right corner, you notice there's this black liquid in a glass. It's complimentary bottomless Coke. :) It's easy to get me excited, get me Coke anytime and I'm already 3 quarter contented.

Clockwise from far left, Margherita Pizza, Salami Pizza, Grilled Tomatoes, Pasta of The Day, Shepherd's Pie. All are yummy except pasta of the day, is only average.

My salad. Lettuce, olives, croutons, bacon bits, generous amount of dressing. There is even mixing bowl for you to toss your salad, if you like it. But I don't like my lettuce being tossed and turned.

My platter of cold meat. Turkey ham, roast beef, potato salad and a host of other stuff.

I need to do a bit of clarification regarding this pao photo. I didn't eat all these. Mind you. Even though my face resembles the shape of a pao.

My platter of dessert. Clockwise from far right, Kek Lapis, Brownies, Carrot Cake and that one that looks like a Missoni dress is Lapis Sarawak. Everything is yummy except the brownies. My Chung Brownies can beat this hands down anytime! ehehe...something to show off huh ;)

I love how this jelly is called. Assorted Jelly in Shooter Glass. :P I know you are giggling over there. kekeke.. ;)

I finished my dinner with a cup of complimentary coffee by The Eatery. Oops, no. a mug of coffee to be precise. The coffee is heavenly. I mean it, serious.

I'd love to come back here for dinner. :) Do PM me if you want to date me. ;)

5 Loaves Cafe in Kuching

Sibu Food Diva has finally landed herself in 5 Loaves Cafe at Jalan Keretapi.

Look at what the woodpeckers have to say to you.

There are a wide variety of sandwiches stated in the menu, but I opted for Nasi Pattaya instead.

Their creative twist on Nasi Pattaya is lovely.

The normal nasi pattaya you get in certain places in KL and JB hardly has meat inside. No matter how many times you ransack in and out of the omelet and fried rice.

But this one is superb. Generous amount of chicken hidden beneath the omelet. My carnivorous instinct has already given this a thumbs up.

Taste wise, I'll give it a 9/10. Even though it's not the conventional type of nasi pattaya, given the presentation and taste wise. Besides chicken, you'll also find ikan bilis in the fried rice too.

While at the counter, I managed to have a peep inside. And the more I fall in love with this place. They are supporters of Ayam Brand. So am I! At least I know what I am getting, unlike certain places which use ACHIPALANG brand kind of ingredients.

And last but not least, free wifi. :)
